Why We Created Cloudy Mellow (And Why It’s Made for Families)

When we first thought about creating Cloudy Mellow, we weren’t trying to start another furniture brand.

We were simply noticing the same thing many parents notice every day.

Kids were sitting:
- on the floor
- slouched against walls
- sprawled across couches not made for them

And the options available didn’t really solve the problem.

The Problem We Kept Seeing

Most bean bags fell into one of two categories:

  • Too big — oversized, bulky, and overwhelming in real family homes
  • Too cheap — messy, flimsy, and something parents regret buying

As parents, we wanted something different.

Something that felt:

  • comfortable for kids
  • practical for parents

But it didn’t really exist.
