When filling your bean bag, you’ll notice a red string on the inner cover zipper.

  Option 1: Cut the string – This will lock the zipper permanently, preventing it from being opened accidentally. It’s the safest choice if you want to avoid spills and keep children secure around the bean bag.

  Option 2: Keep the string intact – Leaving the string uncut means the zipper can still be opened in the future. This is useful if you’d like the option to adjust or refill the inner beads later on.
  

Choose the option that best fits your needs — whether it’s maximum safety or the flexibility to refill.

Typically, every 1–2 years depending on usage. If it starts feeling a little flat, a quick top-up will do the trick.
